Instagram post 17875014976491554 There are a lot of things I knew I’d love about my job. I’m a Pinterest Marketing Strategist (is that what we're calling it these days), which is something I accidently fell into 3 years ago. Since starting this business, it’s fulfilled me in so many ways, but what I didn’t expect was just how much my clients content would change my life. I don't just pin their content... I consume it. Why? So I can get to know their audience and understand them so I can properly market to them. In turn their content has helped me to be better at budgeting, declutter and organize my home, cook healthier meals for my family and even to sell my own products and services better. What is the underlying reason behind why you do what you do?
Instagram post 18095870908106767 I got THOUSANDS of pageviews and grew my website overnight! Cue exasperated eye roll. 🙄 Can I tell you a secret for real? It seems that a lot of people who teach Pinterest only want to get you into their funnels and sell you things so they promise things they can't deliver. It's unfortunate because chances are you're here because you actually want to learn how to use Pinterest to grow your blog, ecommerce site, podcast, YouTube channel, etc. When I started taking clients I had to create a simple checklist to run through when they published new content. Most all of my clients would use it to help them understand what to do each time they shared a new pin. Then I created another checklist for weekly and monthly tasks for myself. I want you to have what I initially created only for my clients. This pdf is a great reminder of what to do when you create and share new content. The best part about it is it helps you take away the guessing and helps you to stay consistent. You can spend more time doing the thing you love and less time guess what you should do on Pinterest to get your content found by your ideal audience. Grab yours today so you can start taking imperfect action! The link is in my BIO.
Instagram post 17867075083533052 When the going gets tough it’s time to dig deep. As I have learned over the years what got you here won’t get you to where you want to go. Are you ready to dig deep in the last month of this year and really make a difference in your business? Drop me an emoji and let me know if you’re digging deep!
Instagram post 17906658439383512 3 lessons learned while building my business in the last 3 years.

Mindset is huge and I shouldn’t have waited so long to start really working a growth mindset. I feel like this held me back in a safe space for too long. I have learned to leave my lack, my guilt and my unworthy feelings behind but they still creep in from time to time.

Connecting with people 1:1 sooner should have been a priority. I’m a people person. I love to serve and to see people succeed. Supporting others is a joy of mine. People matter. People buy from people. In business this is vital and I wish I would have learned this earlier.

I should have started focusing on ONE thing and really mastered it sooner. Trying to do all the things for all the people is exhausting. It also hindered people being able to promote my business because they didn’t know what I wanted to do with myself.

Being an entrepreneur and running a one man show isn’t easy. The noise is so loud at times it’s hard to know what to do and where to be.

If you’ve felt the same way drop an emoji below so others know they aren’t alone. If you’re feeling really generous on this Black Friday tell us what you do to combat it and continue your business growth.
Instagram post 17863866487575268 Want to make your day instantly better? Let’s play a game. wherever you are, make a quick list (on your phone, on a napkin or old receipt) of one thing you’ve perceived with each of your five senses today that you’re thankful for! I’m currently sitting at my table in my tiny home loving the smell of a fresh cup of coffee the sight of my toddler playing with her barbies and the sound of laughter coming from my husband and oldest daughter. This morning I was so grateful for my delicious cinnamon oatmeal and the feel of my comfy sweater. What’s on your list, friend?
Instagram post 17853716785678799 They say “it takes a village.” And while I don’t have a village behind my business I’m in the process of hiring an executive assistant. I’m both scared and excited for this. This isn’t the first time I have had a team but it feels different this time.

With a major holiday 2 days away and many of us still getting our work done before the holiday and potentially 4 days off.... I wanted to pop into your feed and give you a few tips on how I have always gotten my work done so I can take time off.

That’s what we want right? Time away from our businesses. You need to take time away from it. It’s how you will get clarity, find inspiration and allow yourself to balance the other parts of your life a little.

Depending on the promotions you have planned and if you are selling digital or physical goods you may be in for a busy week next week.

How to get through it and stay sane:

1️⃣ Pre-write your to do list for next week. Don’t write your list in any ole’ order either. Prioritize that ish. You will do that by putting your money making tasks first.

2️⃣ Write a vacation responder & stick to it! Make sure if you’re selling physical goods for Black Friday you include some sort of blurb about shipping times & customer service inquiries. I tell everyone I need 24-48 hours to respond during the week.

3️⃣ Batch your work. I love working in batches. It allows me to do one thing until it’s done without switching my brainpower. This will be super helpful if you are still trying to get your work done before you take time off.

That’s it. These are the biggest lessons I have learned over the last 3 years. No system or way to do something is perfect but it sure helps when you want to take time off and know you will be coming back to a heavy load of work after the holiday.

Instagram post 18116966737000422 Can I let you in on a Pinterest secret? It's not really a secret but most people don't realize that this happens... which is why I want to talk about it today. When major holidays happen like Thanksgiving & Christmas Pinterest shifts the entire platform to that trend. Pinterest serves up what their users are searching for and if you don't also shift then you could be left out of the traffic increase.

Pinterest users SPEND MORE MONEY than any other platform. Including this one... So for you to get in front of your audience during these major shifts is to cater your content in a seasonal way.

What does this mean?

Create Pinterest images that are seasonally themed. If you have a piece of content that does well all year long create a pin that is more geared towards the holidays and those holiday keywords.

Instagram post 18081898435084804 What’s not to love about a long autumn weekend focused on gratitude? I’m always down for curling up in a soft blanket and reading a book or grabbing the pan of pie to eat while watching the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade with my girls, but my all time favorite tradition this time of year is watching our kids play with their cousins while enjoying an endless pot of coffee and playing cards. What’s your favorite Thanksgiving tradition?
